One of our strengths as a website development company is in having a tried and tested process to follow when building any new website. It is a systematic and measured approach to building a site that achieves your business objectives, ensuring that the end product is an exceptional business tool.

Project Plan

The very first step in any project is to develop a full and thorough project plan. Each key milestone in the process is plotted against a timeline that is agreed upon with the client, so that everyone knows what to expect.

We share our project plans in full with our clients, as we recognize that their input is crucial in ensuring that the project is delivered on time and with quality.

Communication

We then agree upon a communication schedule for the length of the project, including how often we need to meet with you. We set up our online project room, creating a transparent communication channel for all parties.

Wire frame

The first step in the design process is to develop what we call the “wire frame”. Quite simply this is a broad overview of the site structure, laid out in a way that makes it clear what information should be on each page.

We work closely with the client to develop the wire frame, as it makes up the heart of the finalized website. Producing a solid wire frame ensures that all parties are in agreement on what the website will do, which pages are most important, as well as exactly what information should be displayed.

Design

Once the wire frame has been completed and signed off, we proceed to designing the site. We employ trained designers with years of experience to mock up the design of the site, in accordance with the brief received from the client.

Our designers are experienced at developing for the Internet, and can turn the wire frame into a clean and professional design that will work effectively as a website.

The final mockup is provided to the client to review and approve, and any changes are made before coding commences. At this stage, we ask the client to sign off on the overall design before proceeding to build the website. This ensures that we can build the website with the confidence that the final product will meet the client’s expectations.

Coding

We then code the website so that it adheres to “Level A” accessibility conformance standards, as set down by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This will ensure that users from all walks of life can easily and simply navigate your website, independent of their means of access.

Testing

Prior to launch, we conduct a full review of your site from both a technological and a customer point of view. Our testing is shared with the client in full (in fact the client is always fully involved in the testing process).

The results of the testing are used to tweak and refine the site before it is launched.

Launch

The final step is to launch the site, safe in the knowledge that our development process has produced a business tool that everyone can be proud of.
